For those who know me well, or follow my insta stories on a regular basis, you would know that I practically live at Workshop Bros (Queen St) during workdays. When I was told that they were opening a new cafe out in the suburbs of Glen Waverley I was excited!
Shortly after their opening, I made a visit to the cafe with other fellow bloggers. I arrived early on the day and upon entering the cafe, I was in complete awe of their stunning fit out – the gorgeous pastel pink and rose gold interior and the amazing archway.
To start off, I had the most decadent peanutella hot chocolate. It’s basically hot chocolate with roasted peanuts and toasted marshmallow. It is made for peanut butter and chocolate fiends like myself.
We decided to order a number of dishes, so that we could sample a bit of each dish. Some of the dishes we sampled on the day were: Keep it 100, The Workshop Way, Spicy HK Waffle and Kimchi Risotto.
I managed to sample a small amount of the Keep it 100 (Congee) and the Kimchi Risotto and I must say I was really impressed, and would love to return to try the full dish! I did however have the entire Spicy HK Waffle, and would highly recommend the dish – the subtle sweetness of the waffles paired with sticky soy chicken wings was a match made in heaven!
Clockwise: (Keep it 100, The Workshop Way, Spicy HK Waffle and Kimchi Risotto)
Left: The Workshop Way, Right: Keep it 100
Keep it 100 – Grannies Century egg congee, caramelised pork belly and doughnut sticks
Spicy HK Waffle – Hong Kong Waffle, five spice chicken wings with sticky honey soy sauce
Kimchi Risotto – Risotto and prawns cooked in a chilli broth and topped with gruyere cheese
To finish off, we shared a plate of Sweet HK Waffle. The Sweet HK Waffle uses the same waffles as the savoury waffles but paired with the creamiest dark chocolate parfait topped with vanilla fairy floss, shards of white chocolate and hazelnuts with pumpkin caramel. Another highly recommended dish. Best to share with your best friend or maybe have it on your own ;)

Workshop Bros Glen Waverley is definitely a game changer in the Glen Waverley scene, serving beautiful Asian inspired breakfast dishes and great coffee. I can’t wait to return back to try their dinner dishes!
