Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Walker’s Kitchen Cafe on George St, Dandenong – in a newly developed area of central Dandenong.
Upon stepping into Walker’s Kitchen Cafe, I was in awe with the beautiful minimalistic interior, from the beautiful greenery hanging from the ceiling to the chic white chairs.
Within moments of settling down at our table, the waitress placed our coffee orders. I love the gorgeous matte grey colour of the cups! It really suits the chic interior of the cafe.
For lunch I ordered the special for the day – Crispy Skin Barramundi on a bed of Rocket and Potato salad, whilst Mama Peachie had the Chilli scrambled eggs, sautéed leeks, cherry tomatoes with chorizo.
Mama Peachie usually isn’t a fan of western food, but she was singing praises for the chilli scrambled eggs served on beautifully charred sour dough toast.
I’m so glad that I ordered their special for the day – as they were very generous with the crispy skin barramundi. The rocket and potato salad was perfect accompaniment to the barramundi.
We decided to spoil ourself and also ordered their decadent Blackforest Brioche French Toast. OH MY GOD – get yourself into Walker’s Kitchen immediately. This blackforest brioche french toast was to die for. Me and my mother polished the dish in less than 15 minutes and finished it off with some fresh green tea. It was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended.
Dandenong is definitely booming at the moment, due to the redevelopment of central Dandenong. There’s cafes popping up and I would highly recommend this new cafe – the staff are friendly, amazing coffee and they are generous with their serving!
