Eat Fit Food | Cleanse program | Day 5 (FINAL)

Thank you for tuning into my daily blog detailing my Eat Fit Food experience. This post is the last of the series, however I hope in the near future I can write up something fun like this. The last breakfast prepared by Eat Fit Food was ‘Poached free range eggs with gluten free toast, dukkah & tomato crush.’ Whilst it looks rather plain, there are days where I like to keep breakfast simple – like eggs on toast. I also had the Revive apple, mint, lemon, kiwifruit, spinach and kale drink – a very refreshing green juice and highly recommended for any green juice beginners. After a morning with more reports to write up, it was time for a spiced rice & chickpea pattie with mixed salad with pineapple & lime sauce. The spiced rice …

Eat Fit Food | Cleanse program | Day 4

Click here for Day 1 of my Eat Fit Food Journey. Click here for Day 2 of my Eat Fit Food Journey. Click here for Day 3 of my Eat Fit Food Journey. On Thursday, I woke up feeling exhausted from lack of sleep and most likely from my reformer pilates and boxing class on Wednesday. However I pushed on, and attended the 7.15AM fitness circuit (HIIT class). After class I was feeling extremely hungry, so I decided to grab a cacao smoothie before meeting up with my career coach to plan and create goals for 2017. After the meeting, I was feeling hungry again. Luckily I had my Thursday Eat Fit Food meals waiting for me. Thursday’s breakfast was different with Free Range Omelette, with baby spinach, tomato, herbs & gluten free toast. Love love the omelette – I love my eggs so this was a real treat for me! A few hours later it was time for lunch.I was feeling peckish and didn’t have the appetite but decided to eat to replenish my low energy level. …

Eat Fit Food | Cleanse program | Day 3

Click here for Day 1 of my Eat Fit Food Journey. Click here for Day 2 of my Eat Fit Food Journey. Like yesterday, I had a late night and early start again, however I feel mentally and physically great. I started the day off with a reformer pilates class before grabbing a coffee at Patricia Coffee Brewers before picking up my breakfast from our mailing room. Breakfast today was the same as Day 1 –  Grain and seed coconut crunch with salted caramel almond milk with some grilled bananas. I absolutely have no issues eating this breakfast again, as I enjoyed it quite a bit. This morning juice was the Revitalise – Orange, Carrot, Turmeric, ginger, celery and pineapple. Lots of vitamin C and immune system boosting quality! Whenever I have insufficient sleep I tend to have a weaker immune system, so it was great to have this juice in my Cleanse Pack. Today was a busy day at work with a number of deadlines to meet and monthly reporting to do. I had my …

Eat Fit Food | Cleanse program | Day 2

Click here for Day 1 of my Eat Fit Food journey. Even though I went to bed quite late last night, I woke up at 5AM feeling energised and ready to start my day. I started the day with an incredible session of barre at Kaya Health Clubs, that worked all parts of my body. As I had an international phone conference, I knew I had to start my day strong by a good breakfast. Luckily I had my Eat Fit Food breakfast waiting for me at work. Breakfast today was gluten free chia and goji bircher muesli with coconut yoghurt. To be honest the first spoonful was extremely sweet and I was hesitant to take another spoonful. However after giving it a good mix through with the coconut yoghurt the sweetness toned down and it was a pleasure to eat. I love the different textures of the pepita seeds, goji berry, and green apples. After my conference call, I was starting to get hungry. The snack included in the Tuesday cleanse program was rice …

Poke Me | South Yarra

Poké (Pronounced Poh-kay). Unless you have been living under the rock for the past year, then you would have by now tried at least one Poké (Poh-kay) bowl by now. Poké Me is the newest Poke joint that recently opened in South Yarra. It is easily accessible via South Yarra Station. Having visited a number of Poké joints around Melbourne, I’ve finally had the chance to check out Poké Me today. Their concept is pretty simple – you first choose your protein, base, toppings (4-6), garnish (lil sumpin’ sumpin’) and dressing. They also offer a variety of sushi and ‘konnichiwa’ water which is their original concept of infused detox water in a beautiful glass bottle. (see full menu here) I chose a mix of green tea soba noodles and green base (quinoa, kale, broccoli and apple), salmon, topped with avocado, seaweed, kimchi, cucumber, edamame, garnished with wasabi caviar (!!!) and dressed with siracha soy. When I received my poké bowl I was surprised to see how generous Poké Me was with the protein and toppings. Having …
