2013 Noodle Markets
This is mainly a photo blog to document my visit to the Noodle Markets tonight (19/11/2013)
For those who aren’t aware, Melbourne is holding it’s first Noodle Market from the 18 – 30th of November. For more information please click on the link above.
Making my way to the Noodle Markets. Boss man allowed me to finish the day off early so that I can enjoy the beautiful weather! Thanks Boss Boss :) You’re AWESOME :D
Walking over the bridge, heading towards Alexander Gardens.
Arrived at Noodle Markets a little after 5pm and found the sitting area around the food trucks to be rather empty, but was fully packed by the time I left (6.30pm ish)
Beautiful lanterns on display – a variety of designs on the lanterns. Beautiful.
Love the set up of the rustic looking Coopers Pale Ale stand.
Loved the new Apple + Guava Flavour. Tonight I tried the Passionfruit flavour which I’ve never tried before. Very refreshing and you can taste the passionfruit!
Dangerous drink though because it doesn’t taste like alcohol and very pleasant to drink! Whilst waiting for my food I sipped on my Rekorderlig!
Spent a good 15-20 minutes waiting for food. All the stalls had extremely long queues. The prices of the dishes were inflated.
Decided to line up behind Le Bangkok and ordered the Morning Glory Salad ($12) but was really delicious. Salty, Tangy and crunchy pieces of battered morning glory.
No place to sit so stood in the line waiting for gelato at the Gelato Messina stall.
Gelato Messina’s Monkey Balls – Coconut/Peanut Gelato, Fresh Fried Donuts, Jackfruit Crème Patissier, Candied Cashews and Toasted Coconuts ($9).
So incredibly sweet that I felt so sick afterwards. It must be karma for taunting my friend with ice cream :(
The weather is so nice in Melbourne right now, so it’s worth checking for a bit. In all honesty it’s definitely NOT worth the time lining up for food though.
Having said that, if you’ve never tried certain restaurant’s food before, you can sample the dishes at the Noodle Markets.
